Medieval village

Vila closa of Peramea and l'Era d'Ortega
Peramea shows the urban characteristics most characteristic of what we might call medieval enclosed, a grouped and compact settlement, closed in itself, in which the walls themselves of the houses have a function of walls. Testimonies of this medieval origin are the access portals to the village, its urban framework, the ruins of the castle and the Colomers tower. The nucleus was declared a Cultural Property of National Interest in 1985. Within the nucleus you can also visit the Era of Ortega (information and visits 973662053 or 630887939), an old agricultural-livestock production area recovered and restored by the Cultural Group " Lo Vent de Port ", where exhibitions are held, offers guided tours and didactic workshops. Next to the town you can also visit the dolmen of the Mosquera and the source of Sant Cristòfol, as well as to realize diverse rutes of hiking.
