One of the activities Sort offers is circular motorcycle routes. Since they are circular, the route starts and ends in the town, making it easier to find accommodation. If you're passionate about motorcycling and also want to see all the landscapes this area has to offer, we've got two routes you're sure to love:

The San Lorenzo route

This route is 264 km long, so it can be completed in a total of 5 hours . If you complete it, you'll travel along the N-260 national highway and the C-14 regional road.

Departing from Hotel les Brases, the first stop is La Seu d'Urgell, known for being one of the most important cities of medieval Catalonia. Seventeen minutes later, you'll find yourself in San Lorenzo de Morunys, home to the Llosa del Cavall reservoir, a place where you can fish, enjoy water sports, hike, and, above all, enjoy nature. Once you've visited, it's time to look for the detour to Solsona , where you can visit the Regional Diocesan Museum. After that, it's time to visit the Bassella Motorcycle Museum, recognized as one of the best in Europe.

If you continue straight on the C14 highway toward Ponts, you'll reach Folquer . At the crossroads, take the turnoff to the right toward Isona-Tremp. This town is one of the largest municipalities in Catalonia, and you can also visit the Collegiate Church of Santa María de Valldeflors and the Santiago Bridge . Tremp is the last place you'll see on this route, as after arriving, you must turn off toward Sort.

Pyrenees Viewpoint

On this route, you'll cover 270 km, a total of 5 hours maximum . This time, you'll travel along the N-260 national highway, the C-13 regional highway, and the L-503 local road. You'll pass three mountain passes and six lakes/reservoirs, not to mention the fantastic Pyrenees viewpoint.

To complete this route, you must first head to Gerri de la Sal. To do so, leave Sort on the N-260. After about 60 meters, turn left toward Paramea along the Les Vinyes road and continue for 4 km until you reach Peramea. It's time to visit Lake Mont Cortes , included in the Plan for Areas of Natural Interest (PEIN).

Six kilometers later, you'll reach Pobleta de Bellveí. At this point, the trail turns into the well-known Puerto de Perves, a perfect place to stop. Pobleta de Bellveí was a town founded in the late Middle Ages. Here you can visit the church or simply relax in one of its bars. After this break, continue along the N-230 for about 35 km toward the village of Pont de Montaña, where you'll cross a bridge and turn off onto Camí del Coll de les Ares, where you'll find a must-see stop —attention!—at the Mirador del Pirineu for photography lovers. It's worth noting that the Montsec Astronomical Park is located near this spot. Although little-known, its views are endless and numerous exhibitions and guided tours are offered.

Eleven kilometers later, you'll reach Ager. Cross the village and reach a roundabout. Take the last exit for Gerb and head toward Sant Llorenç de Montgai, known for its reservoir, where numerous activities such as kayaking, fishing, and more are possible.

If you follow the map, you'll reach Camarasa. After all this traveling, you'll definitely want a drink of fresh water. Make a stop at the Font de les Bagasses! The water is currently channeled under the road and flows through several jets on a metal structure. Watching the water flow becomes a real game for children. Twenty kilometers later, you'll reach the Talarn Dam. You're very close to finishing the route. If you'd like, you can stop at the C13 Brewery in Segur to rest after the long journey. Once there, turn right and continue toward Sort. You'll soon be back at the Hotel Les Brases.
