THE SURROUNDINGS OF SORT
This 12.8 km circular route takes you through the small villages scattered across the Batlliu de Sort mountain range, in the heart of Pallars Sobirà. The route starts and ends in Sort, from where you can visit the villages of Olp, Pujalt, Enviny, and Bressui. The route is well-marked and follows clearly defined paths and trails, bordered by old dry-stone walls, typical of the Pyrenean landscape.
From Sort to Olp the path climbs steadily. The section between Olp and Enviny skirts the mountain on flat or gently sloping terrain. From Enviny to Bressui and Sort, the route is mostly downhill.
The circular route through the Batlliu de Sort takes us into an area steeped in history and tradition. We discover small clusters of houses perched on the mountainside, meadows with traditional dry-stone walls, forests of oak, hackberry, and maple trees, and enjoy excellent panoramic views of the Noguera Pallaresa river valley and the Torreta de l'Orri. This route is ideal for exploring a lesser-known area of Pallars Sobirà, perfect for hiking and nature lovers.

The wide variety of colors that can be seen during the tour, especially in spring and autumn.
The magnificent views of the Batlliu de Sort, the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa river, the Torreta de l'Orri and the mountains of the Vall Ferrera.
The beauty of the traditional paths and the charming clusters of houses visited along the route.

Notes:
The basic itinerary offers several options for shortening or lengthening it. 1. From Olp, we can return directly to Sort (1:00 a.m.) along the path that passes through the town of Castellviny. 2. From Pujalt, we can shorten the route and descend to Sort (0:50 a.m.) along the Borda de Peret path. 3. From Enviny, we can extend the route to Montardit de Dalt and return to Sort via the Ribera de Montardit (1:45 a.m.).

How to get there by car:
The starting point for the excursion is the Hotel Restaurant Las Brases in Sort. We arrive in Sort via the C-13 highway. Hotel Les Brases is located on the C-13 highway, just off the northern exit from the town. There is plenty of free parking in front of the hotel.
