VIEWPOINT OF THE PYRENEES
A half-day route with little traffic and excellent views, including three mountain passes and six lakes or reservoirs, as well as the spectacular Mirador de los Pirineos (Pyrenees Viewpoint). The asphalt is good for most of the route, except for the section between Pont de Montañana and Àger, where it is acceptable. It is precisely at this point that you'll find the viewpoint that gives the route its name, a little-known spot with breathtaking panoramic views, where paragliding is also practiced, and which is very close to the Montsec Astronomical Park.
The route continues to the outskirts of Balaguer before returning to Sort. In La Pobla de Segur, right by the road, you can visit the C-13 craft brewery, where they offer tastings. The name refers to the C-13 highway, which connects Lleida with the Pyrenees, almost to the French border.

Where we will have unbeatable views of almost the entire Pyrenees. Montsec Astronomical Park is the only place in Catalonia for astronomical observation. The Astronomical Park is a tool for scientific research and outreach where we will find exhibitions on astronomy and landscapes, and we will be able to enjoy a unique tool: the Eye of Montsec, a multimedia digital planetarium and a sky observation platform. The Astronomical Park has been recognized by the Starlight initiative, linked to UNESCO, as a tourist destination.
