Novel places in the Valley of Àssua
It is a very complete route that enters the Àssua Valley through the old bridle paths that linked the Batlliu and this valley with Catalonia. It is perfect to get to know the town in its entirety, since on this route you will be able to immerse yourself in the essence of Pallars Sobirà with its agricultural-livestock past, while contemplating the mountain landscape. It is a stretch of 30 kilometers and considerable difficulty but, without a doubt, it is well worth it. On this route, the views of Monteixo, Montsent de Pallars and Torreta de l'Orri will make you fall in love. In addition, you can cool off in the Batlliu and Àssua springs, and you can even observe the occasional wild deer. It is said that this area has inspired many novels, will you find your muse there?
Noguera Pallaresa and Àssua Valley
If you want to have an unforgettable memory, this excursion will not leave you indifferent. From another approach different from the previous route, you will have the opportunity to visit the Noguera Pallaresa from above, since you will enter Rialp through the suspension bridge of Santa Caterina from the 19th century. Also, you will visit the routes of the medieval castle of this little town and you will lose yourself among the history and the small picturesque streets of Surp, Altron and Olp. The proposed distance is around 18 kilometers and can be done at all times of the year.
The Dragon of Saverneda, Tornafort and the Siarb Valley
A road full of emotions. You will cross Savarneda, passing through the Soriguera ravine and you will learn more about the origins of the village of Puiforniu, from where you will arrive at Tornafort. You will also make a nice descent back to Savarneda. The views of Montsent de Pallars will not leave you indifferent, and you will be able to hear and see black woodpecker.
