SAURI CHURCH
Santi Moix
An idyllic village located at the bottom of the Àssua Valley, on the edge of the Pamano ravine, where Mustio's family spent their summers in the late 1960s. Today, an estimated 12 people live there.
On the altar, religious sculptures coexist with a large red flower that recalls the origin of life. Mustio has called it "the Water Diviner's flower." "The walls speak of the place where the church is located. Of the people here, of nature, of the animals, of beauty. I tried to create an optimistic church, so that people feel at ease, without imposing anything or indoctrinating. I hope that what I painted will disappear and become an essence that uplifts people," says the artist.
