OLD TOWN OF SORT

Church, castle and streets.

The historic center of Sort (made up of narrow streets and houses built of stone, wood, and slate) is clustered at the foot of a rocky spur where the large circular towers, the Gothic façade, and the walls of the old Sort Castle (which were incorporated into the cemetery walls in 1842) are located. This medieval castle was the former residence of the Counts of Pallars.
