FAMILY OUTING TO LAKE DAVALL IN
YOU EAT THEM BLONDE

An ideal route to do with the family, without any difficulty, with a length of 4.2 km and a cumulative elevation gain of 125m. We start the route from the Comes de Rubió refuge, climb towards the Planell dels Fangassos and discover the unique Davall lake. We flank along the sunny side of the head of the valley, pass the Rubió pass and descend along the track to the Planell dels Fangassos, where we close the circular route. From here we retrace a stretch of the path until we reach the refuge again.

The long and beautiful valley of the Comes de Rubió is oriented from north to south and stretches between the black pine forests and the high mountain meadows of the Orri massif, located at the southern end of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, the largest protected natural area in Catalonia. This short family walk takes us to the head of this valley, where we discover the peculiar and small lake of Davall, surrounded by peace, tranquillity and a fantastic natural wealth.

- How to get there by car:

In Sort we take the N-260 road in the direction of La Seo de Urgel. We go up the Cantó pass, leaving behind the villages of Vilamur, Soriguera and Llagunes. Approximately 2 km before reaching the top of the Cantó pass, we come to the village of Rubió. At this point, take a track that leads off to the left with signs to the Comes de Rubió refuge. Attention: this track can only be used by vehicles from 1 May to 15 November, provided that there is no snow or ice. Failure to comply with these regulations is punishable by law.
