Typical dishes of Catalonia: Enjoy them in our restaurant

In Catalonia, we have a high-quality cuisine, strongly represented in the Mediterranean diet and characterized by the wide variety of traditional dishes that represent our region. Some of them stand out for their combination of ingredients from the sea and mountains, known here as "mar i muntanya" (sea and mountain cuisine).

Escalibada



It's a salad with roasted onion, tomato, peppers, and eggplant, accompanied by anchovies. In our restaurant, we serve it with torrada, a very typical dish in the region.


Grilled sausage or butifarra



In Catalonia, it's very common to grill longanizas and butifarras. Many people refer to them as sausages because of their appearance, but in this case, they're much larger and not exactly the same product. In some places, it's customary to eat them with mongetes (or white beans).


Catalan salad with sausage



Nothing is more typical than cured meat in this area. Catalan salad is based on lettuce, tomato, spring onion, and olives, but with the extraordinary addition of local cured meats (varied sausages or fuet). All cut into very thin strips and seasoned to taste.


Snails a la llauna



They are a typical starter at family gatherings and a specialty in the province of Lérida. The dish is made with oven-roasted land snails, previously cooked, and finally accompanied by a spicy sauce.


Veal with mushrooms



One of the most typical meat dishes in Catalan cuisine. Its traditional recipe is with dried chanterelle mushrooms, however, it's also cooked with mushrooms in some homes, and the result is equally spectacular. It's one of the tastiest dishes, and at the same time, healthy, as it's cooked with very little fat and plenty of water. 100% recommended!


Catalan cream

Cottage cheese and honey



This combination isn't as well-known nationwide, but it's a very traditional dessert here, throughout the Catalan region. In our hotel restaurant, you can enjoy it accompanied by walnuts. It's the perfect way to sweeten the palate after a hearty meal.
