OLD TOWN OF SORT

Church, castle and streets.

The historic centre of Sort - made up of narrow streets and houses of stone, wood and slate - is grouped at the foot of a rocky spur where the large circular towers, the Gothic façade and the walls of the old Sort Castle (which in 1842 were integrated as cemetery walls) can be found. This medieval castle was the former residence of the Counts of Pallars.
